MANDY WILLIAMS
L.A.c, LCSW
Diplomat of Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM)
Mandy’s first career was in social services where she worked with at-risk youth for 13 years. She worked in the substance abuse field with teens in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She received her Masters in Social Work at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. Post Masters, she worked with at-risk youth struggling with a myriad of behavioral and mental health issues. She is currently licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in multiple states.
Mandy received acupuncture for years before life events pointed her in the direction of pursuing a career in Chinese Medicine. She earned her Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine in 2016 from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. What she appreciates most about the medicine was is that there is no separation of mind and body, and that the medical theories can explain every symptom a person experiences, therefore validating their concerns about their health. Her dream is combine both her professions to provide relief for not only physical, but emotional ailments. Mandy is a California State Licensed Acupuncturist, and holds a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Dipl. OM.) from NCCAOM. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and expects to complete that program in the winter of 2018.
Mandy has traveled extensively in Latin America and has a passion for learning about different cultures, histories, struggles and most importantly—the resiliency of people. She is proficient in Spanish because of volunteering, studying, and living with families in different countries. These experiences have both fueled and complemented her professional life.
